City apartment
Metropolitan Star, Bratislava, Slovakia
Popis projektu
The three-bedroom apartment in the center of Bratislava is designed for a young family. It includes an entrance hall, living area, bedroom, children’s room and two bathrooms. The interior design emerged from a small competition, where we created a practical and welcoming space with the feeling of home. The client selected us for both design and execution, allowing us to oversee the entire process from the first sketches to the final details.

Entrance hall
The entrance area is formed by a wide corridor with built-in wardrobes. Custom furniture lines the entire hallway and fully uses its storage potential. A rounded corner softens the otherwise angular layout.
Living area
The living area combines a kitchen, dining space and lounge. Oak wood and ceramics are complemented by soft beige tones in the furniture and accessories. Together, the materials create a calm and natural interior.
Dining area
The dining table is where the family gathers, which is why it was placed by the window with the most daylight. The extendable table seats up to eight people and can also serve as a home workspace.
Living room
The living room is centered around a sofa designed for shared seating with guests. The interior is complemented by a coffee table, TV unit and a bookcase with sliding doors separating the entrance area.
Kitchen
The kitchen does not try to disappear into the background. Instead, it openly expresses its function within the living area. It consists of a slatted island with bar seating, a tall unit with sink and storage cabinets.
Master bedroom
The bedroom was designed with the atmosphere of a hotel suite in mind. It includes a bed with a full-height upholstered headboard, a wardrobe and a ceramic desk for work and personal care.
Besides the bed, every element in the bedroom was designed for this project. The upholstered headboard, ceramic surfaces, glass and wooden details were custom-made. All parts work naturally together.
Parents’ bathroom
The bathroom with a turquoise accent includes double sinks, a bathtub and a toilet with integrated bidet. Hidden storage behind the mirror keeps the interior visually clean. Wall-mounted faucets simplify maintenance.
Girls’ bedroom
The children’s room is designed to adapt to the child’s age over time, apart from the fixed wardrobe. The gender-neutral design feels playful and soft without obvious references to gender.
Kids’ bathroom
The children’s bathroom includes a sink, shower, toilet and washer with dryer. Like the children’s room, it follows a neutral design with playful details such as a lower mirror and waterproof wallpaper.
Guest bedroom
The third room was designed to serve as a future student’s room. By replacing the sofa with a bed and the cabinet with a desk, it can easily transform into a full-fledged study bedroom without major changes.
