Context and entrance
The cabin is situated in an area with unified architecture. The entrance is placed on the middle level. The entry hall flows naturally into the living area, which connects the individual parts of the ground floor.
Main living space
The living area uses exposed wood as its main feature. A generous U-shaped sofa is flexible and supports shared time together. The space is oriented toward the fireplace, which forms its focal point.
Fireplace as the focal point
The fireplace is placed at the center of the layout as the natural core of the space. Besides heating, it also offers seating. A masonry ceramic bench stores heat and provides comfort after winter activities.
Rustic-style kitchen
The kitchen combines a work area beneath the windows with tall cabinets on the opposite wall. The wooden surfaces are lightly stained to distinguish them from the wall and ceiling structures.
Bedroom
The main bedroom is shaped by sloped ceilings and exposed wood. Wooden cladding and red window reveals create a distinctive accent. Simple custom furniture completes the interior.
Kids’ room
The children’s room is designed for two people with focus on functionality and free space. Beds and storage are integrated beneath the sloped ceilings. The center of the room remains open for play and movement.
Bathroom near the bedrooms
The upstairs bathroom is shared by parents and children and includes a bathtub, double sinks and a toilet. Durable materials create a compact look, while daylight allows darker surfaces.
Relaxation area
The basement is designed for relaxation. It includes a lounge with a kitchenette, a room, bathroom and ski storage with direct access outside. Wooden cladding and soft lighting shape the atmosphere.
Basement bathroom
